The emergency situations can be in the home, workplace or within the community, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. Most workplaces require a specific number of people to successfully complete this qualification. Charter Care recommends, in line with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, that first aid skills are renewed at least every three years and CPR skills every 12 months.

Please note it is a requirement of this course that you are physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes on a CPR manikin placed on the floor.

The HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course is suitable to both people in workplaces and members of the public who want training in first aid.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for HLTAID011 Provide first aid.
