Introduction

The course is delivered by Charter Australia Education & Training (CRICOS Code: 03417F; RTO ID: 41038).

The course is designed for people who want to gain employment in the aged, disability and community services sectors and work as a personal carer. Studying this course creates a pathway for graduates to continue into CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support qualification study.

The course contains three Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency:

  • HLTWHS002 Follow safe work practices for direct client care
  • CHCLEG001 Work legally and ethically
  • CHCCOM005 Communicate and work in health or community services

Pathway to further studies

A Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued following successful completion of this course and can be used to seek credit transfer towards achieving an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualification including CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support.


Delivery
  • Duration: 4 weeks from 7 September to 2 October 2020
  • Days: Monday (Online) and Tuesday or Friday (Face-to-face)
  • Time: From 9:30am to 3pm
  • Location: Level 3, 53 Walker Street, North Sydney NSW 2060

Charter Australia’s COVID-19 prevention requirements must be strictly adhered to while on site.


Entry Requirements and Fees

This course is free to domestic students.

To be eligible for this training as a domestic student,  you must be:

  • Minimum 15 years of age or older; AND,
  • An Australian citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand citizen, or eligible Visa holder; AND,
  • No longer at school; AND,
  • Living or working in NSW

If you are not eligible as a domestic student, $600 fees is payable before commencement.
