CHCPRT001 – Identify and respond to children and young people at risk

The course contains a nationally recongised unit of competency with Statement of Attainment for CHCPRT001 – Identify and respond to children and young people at risk. It is designed for people who work with children or young people and need child protection training.

Course relates to the National Quality Standard (NQS) Quality Area 2 – promoting children’s health and safety and meets Child protection training requirements by the NSW Government in early childhood education.

Delivered by a highly qualified trainer with substantial NDIS, children services and leadership experience.

Training Outcome

A Statement of Attainment of CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk of harm will be issued following successful completion of this course and can be used to seek credit transfer towards achieving an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualification.

This unit is one of the core units from CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and also an elective of CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services that Charter Australia offers.


Entry Requirements
  • Applicant must have met English & LLN Requirements
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or above
  • A personal computer or tablet, stable wifi connection, the ability to stream video.

Fees

The training is subsidised by the NSW Government for eligible people. Check your eligiblity.

You are also eligible if you’re unable to work due to public health orders or on JobSaver, and therefore at risk of unemployment.

$250 fees is payable before commencement for students who are not eligible for NSW Government subsidy.


Delivery Model

This delivery mode includes an online self-study component and a practical demonstration via Google Meet.

Course duration: 4 weeks

Assessments: Online written tasks and practical demonstration observed by Charter Australia’s assessor via Google Meet.
