This course is for Thai students who want to pursue or develop a career in the residential and community aged care sector.

Due to the growing number of Thai residents in Australian aged care facilities, there is currently a high demand for Thai-speaking aged care workers.

This means there are significant employment opportunities for qualified Thai speakers within this sector, making this a great time to enrol in our Aged Care course!

To ensure you’re fully prepared to study for your Certificate III in Individual Support, you’ll begin by taking our Foundation Skills course - this course will help you move forward in your vocational training journey with confidence.

You’ll then proceed to the Certificate III in Individual Support, a nationally-recognised qualification that provides you with the knowledge, skills and training required to gain employment in the aged care sector.

Part 1: Foundation Skills - Prepare for Vocational Training

Gain confidence, improve your skills, and learn how to study effectively for your upcoming Certificate III Individual Support course.

In this Foundation Skills course, you will:

• Learn vocabulary, conduct research and develop industry knowledge
• Practice reading workplace texts
• Improve your writing skills
• Practice using digital technology

 

After you have successfully completed the Foundation Skills course, you will proceed immediately to the Certificate III in Individual Support.

Part 2: Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community)

Obtain all the training, skills and knowledge you need to pursue or develop your career in the aged care sector in Australia.

In this nationally-recognised qualification, you’ll learn how to support aged persons or those requiring care for other reasons, including how to:

• Provide individualised care that supports independence and wellbeing
• Communicate and work in health or community services
• Work legally and ethically, with diverse people
• Recognise healthy body systems
• Follow safe work practices for direct client care
• Provide support to people living with dementia
• Support relationships with carers and families
• Provide home and community support services

• Assistant in Nursing
